UFC London 2020
Earlier news that this upcoming weekend UFC London 2020 card lost its title, hits kept coming and it was a snowstorm of injuries.
At least when trying to move the original event, the plans soon fell apart. Now we have assurances through various sources as well as social media (courtesy of MMAJunk’s Mike Bone.
These battles have been canceled due to travel restrictions and safety concerns in the coronavirus epidemic and the inability to re-determine them in short order. The UFC even attempted a Hail Mary in the form of an internal e-mail by Earl Helwani so that fighters outside the UFC could probably be used as last-minute talents.
"This is an email they are sending to directors and reporters about this new card next week. As you can see, they are open to signing even fighters who are not currently on the roster to fill it out."
The fighters were cutting weights and arranging trips and holding them indefinitely until further notice. Ashley Evans-Smith flew all the way to the UK without a page, as she returned to the organization believing in the organization when she started her journey.

This is the only example of the problems posed by the fighters and despite the logical complexity and security concerns they have continued their campaign to keep the event going.

Although the O2 Arena will not be abrupt by this card, at least the event could not be moved to the UFC's Apex facility due to the suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission of Fighting Events on March 25th.
So far, the decision to go with events against conventional knowledge has not gone as well as the UFC had hoped. A blank letter show in Brasilia is one thing but there is nowhere to fight to reschedule a canceled card and slot them? Looks like they painted it in a corner and we can only hope that the fighters will be compensated for their training camp and inconvenience.
